4 Of The Most Beautiful Corvette Designs Ever Made

Blog

The Corvette is renowned for being a beautiful sports car. They have been around since the 1950s and are innovators in engineering and style. If you love sports cars, especially American sports cars, then you will love these classic Corvette designs.

One of the great things about Corvettes style is that it has evolved over the years. If you look at the early 1950s models, they look nothing like the 1960s.

Here are four of the coolest models of Corvette ever made.

The Stingray

The Corvette Stingray is probably the most famous design Corvette every produced. The Sting Ray was introduced in the early 1960s. It was a dramatic change from the smooth, round convertible Corvettes from the 1950s.

The car had a sleek, sharp look, including a fastback design. The fastback design would become a popular look for other sports cars. You can see the influence in cars such as Barracudas, Mustangs, Ferraris, Camaros and Firebirds.

Legend has it that part of the inspiration for the Corvette Stingray was a Mako shark.

Split Window

If you're looking for a really rare design, then you will love the 1963 Corvette. It features the iconic split rear window. The design team at Corvette decided to change the rear window going forward, so it is was only in production for one year.

The 1963 C2 model has the distinctive Stingray look as well. If you like unique designs, then this is a perfect car. The split window design has many fans. However, one person who hated the look was famed designer Zora Arkus-Duntov. He had an issue with the fact that the split window prevented the driver from having a clear view.

C1

The C1 is the original Corvette. If you like smooth curves, then this is the design for you. Unlike the later models, the early C1s were curvy and smooth. They were unlike other early American convertibles such as the Fairlane, which were larger. The C1 was more like the European sports cars, such as the Austin Healy.

C4 ZR1

If you're a fan of modern sports cars, then you will love the C4. This was the model that shifted the Corvette design from the long, small rear design to a wider back. The engineers also focused on horsepower. This is around the time when Corvette moved into the high performance arena. The cars were not only designed to be beautiful, but also faster than anything on the market. A motivating factor was the decision to try and make the fastest production model car available to the public.

If you own a Corvette, or are thinking about getting one, make sure to visit a retailer like Keen Parts to get authentic parts for your sports car.

RV Upgrades You Need to Know About

When my husband and I went to buy our RV, I thought I had a good idea as to what I wanted. I knew what general options I wanted and what size. But, as I begin to explore the new options available, I realized that there were so many add-ons and upgrades that I had not even considered. I probably took more time to select an RV than I should have, simply because I wasn't prepared for all of the choices I had to make. I decided to start this website to let people know about all of the RV upgrades and options that they could select from when buying a new RV. If you are in the market for a new RV, hopefully this helps you decide what features are must-haves for you.
